Phyllis L. Westover

Westover, Phyllis L., 72 of Cherry Tree, died August 13, 2004 at Beverly Healthcare - Haida, Hastings. Born May 2, 1932, in South Fork, daughter of Elmer M. and Jessie Mae (Harris) Johns. Preceded in death by parents, husband Wayne in 1987, daughter Faye Arlene, step-daughter Beverly Weakland, great-grandson Mikey Jones, and son-in-law Alan Coleman. Survived by these children: Connie and husband Mark Thomas, Portage; Melody and husband Ray Cunningham, Chambersville; Carol Westover, Vallejo, CA; Elmer, Somerset, and Wayne, Jr., Cherry Tree; also step-daughter Linda and husband William C. Mock, Elizabeth, CO. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Sister of, Edward Johns, Holsopple; and Beatrice Walter, Claysburg. Former owner of Community Gift and Hobby Shop, Barnesboro. Member of Cherry Tree Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxilliary. Former member of Cambria County Community Action for 13 years. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Cherry Tree, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Rev. Donald Carpenter. Interment East Ridge Cemetery.
