Robert L. Riva

Riva, Robert L., 59 of Northern Cambria, died July 25, 2005 at home. Born August 26, 1945 in Spangler, son of Ralph and Sophia (Stefula) Riva. Preceded in death by parents; infant sisters Joann and Mary Ann; and infant brother John. Survived by children Robert Jr. married to Heather (Rounsley); Joseph married to Dana (Gaydis); James married to Jayne (Weber); and Joy married to Curt Keith; all of Northern Cambria; and Angela married to Brad Thomas, St. Benedict. Also survived by grandchildren Shawna, Robert III, Jacob, and Gabriel Riva; Avri and Ki Riva; Brad and Jade Thomas; and Austin and Brooke Keith. Brother of Regina Dishong, and Ralph Jr., both of Commodore; Ronald, and John, both of Northern Cambria; Teresa Semelsberger, Garmantown; Richard, St. Boniface; and Michael, South Fork. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. Formerly employed at Greenwich collieries. Member of North End Assembly of God Church. Member UMWA Local 1609, Greenwich; NRA; and VFW. He was an avid hunter. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Charles Guerin. Interment Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted.
