Ron L Jones

Jones, Ron 68  of Northern Cambria, passed away May 14 at home surrounded by his family after a brave battle with lung cancer. Born December 2, 1947 in Spangler. Son of the late Ellsworth and Evelyn Jones, Ron is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Elizabeth (Henry), brothers Allen and Bud, sisters Shirley, Kathy, and Lori. He was a father of three, Ron Jr. married to the former Rhonda Weiland (Nicktown), Kevin (Northern Cambria), and Suzanne (Mesquite, Texas). Ron always found time for his grandchildren Kaitlynne, Frankie, Alexis, and Collin which included trips to fish camp, Disneyworld, and camping. “Pap” was everyone’s taxi service always willing to pick someone up at a moments notice or get involved with the next adventure like dressing up as a pirate for his daughter’s wedding or riding the Hatfield McCoy Trails of West Virginia. He enjoyed playing pool, golfing, and traveling the country with his “Lib”. He will be sorely missed. A private service will be held for immediate family. Pastor Darlene Wiewiora officiating. There will be no public viewing. Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria is in charge of arrangements.
