Rose M (Bonatesta) Ondecko

Ondecko, Rose M. 87 Northern Cambria, died April 12, 2016 at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born October 6, 1928 in Barnesboro, daughter of Carmine and Caroline (Villela) Caribardi- Bonatesta. Preceded in death by parents, husband Andrew who died November 19, 2015 after 63 years of marriage. Also brothers Joseph, Frank, Fred, Anthony, James, Orlando, Carmen, Gasper  and sister Mary Amendola. Survived by daughters, Diane (Larry) Waksmunski and Mary Lou (Steven) Bender both of Northern Cambria, grandchildren, Alexis, Andrea and Derek Waksmunski and Steven and Melissa Bender. Also step-granddaughter Christa Bender Eberhardt and step-great-grandchildren, Mara and Mason Eberhardt. Former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and present member of Prince of Peace Catholic  Church. Rose had a great love for her family and celebrating family traditions and she loved to read. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria where  altar and rosary service will be held at 3:00 p.m. followed by vigil for the deceased.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at  11:00 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Rev Larry Lacovic. Committal at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
