Shirley Ann Davis, 84 of Cherry Tree passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at Embassy of Hillsdale Park.
She was born on January 5, 1942, in Spangler, the daughter of late Margarete Baum. She married Thomas E. Davis on July 2, 1960, at the First Baptist Church, Barnesboro. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2019. Also preceded in death by three sons, Joseph, Kenneth, and James Davis.
Surviving are three children, Thomas Davis, Sheila Rummel (Dave), and Richard Davis (Yvonne); and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley dedicated more than four decades of service as a member of the Cherry Tree Fire Department Lady Auxiliary. In addition to her volunteer work, Shirley spent over 30 years as a certified nursing assistant. Her career demonstrated a deep compassion and care for others, touching on the lives of many throughout her years in the profession. Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Shirley found joy in bird watching. She was known for her remarkable ability to identify and name a wide variety of birds.
Friends will be received Wednesday April 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Avenue, Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will take place at noon with Pastor Joe Luzier officiating. Interment will be made at Citizens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Barrett Funeral Home to help with funeral costs.
