On December 4, 2020 Susan Shaffer went home to be with the Lord. She was born February 20, 1950 in Mosscreek, a daughter to the late Clarence and Edith (Silway) Keith. She married Arthur Shaffer on October 28, 1989. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2010.
Surviving by children, Beverly (Marc) Deist, Tina (Terry) Mell, Freddie (Michelle) Detwiler, Andrew (Tanya) Detwiler, Ronda (Lonnie) Detwiler, Matthew Detwiler, Larry (Brianna) Detwiler, Jenny Keith, Ronnie (Kelsie) Shaffer, Ryan “Bucky” (Amanda) Shaffer, and John (Janie) Mell; grandchildren, Brittany (Del), Kimmie (Milton), Terry, Jr. (Marybeth), Stacy (TR), Kendra (John), Travis (Alexis), Stormie (Mikey), Tiffany, Beepers, Lily, Kara, Zack, Johnathan, Elizabeth, Joey, Ethan, Josh, Justin, Alea, Alicia, Brenden, Brayden, Brooke, Destiney, Deseray, and Kelly; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Butch (Diane) Keith; two nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Johnathan and Dustin; and a brother Kenneth.
She attended church at the Lighthouse Morning Star Ministries.
Susan enjoyed camping, fishing, bingo, collecting angels and spending time with all her big family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Friends will be received Monday, December 7, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria, where a funeral Service will take place Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Committal will be held at McDowell Cemetery.
