Theresa (Mrugala) Plaskey

Theresa Plaskey,shed her earthly shackles on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Saint Claire Commons Nursing home in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was 95 years old.

Theresa was born on June 19, 1924, in Barnesboro Pennsylvania, to the late Ferdinand Mrugala and Frances (Magierski) Mrugala. She was the middle child of five. She was preceded in death by brothers Ferdinand and John, and her sisters Frances and Elizabeth. She married Charles Wesley Plaskey in 1947 until his death in 1978.

Theresa served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1944 to 1946, and she was stationed at Pearl Harbor. She became a dietitian after her discharge from the military. She later became an 8th grade English teacher and taught at North Junior High School in Lima, Ohio for 30 years.

She is survived by her son Charles (Jennifer) Plaskey and granddaughter Eliana Plaskey, of Perrysburg, Ohio.

Come celebrate the life of Theresa Plaskey as she receives her eternal reward with her Lord, Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 9 – 10 am at St Rose Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 am. Father David Ross will officiate. A committal service will take place in North Barnesboro Cemetery, Saturday November 9.2019 at noon with Father Jeremiah Lange officiating, military honors to follow.
