Thomas Edward Davis

               Thomas Edward Davis, 80 of Cherry Tree died Thursday April 11, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

                He was born March 22,1939 in Cherry Tree a son of the late Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Dukes) Davis. He married Shirley Ann Baum on July 2, 1960 at the First Baptist Church, Barnesboro.

                Surviving are his wife, Shirley; three children, Thomas Davis of Dubois, Sheila Rummel (Dave) of Cherry Tree, Richard Davis of Cherry Tree; twelve grandchildren, Jon, Tommy Lee, Krista, Kimberly, David Jr, Letisha, Kerri, Darcy, John, James, Wyatt, Samantha; thirteen great grandchildren, Kendall, Kadence, Kenneth, Ariana, Kaitlen, Declan, Serenity, Alex, Isiah, Tyvon, Paisley, Michael, Althea; two sisters, Edna Duffy and Kathleen Bailey; and a special friend and care giver, Mary Jane Bourdess.

                He was preceded in death by three sons, Joseph, Kenneth, and James Davis; two grandsons, Kenneth and Derek Davis; a great grandson, Logan Coble; ten siblings and a daughter in law, Charlene Davis.

                He was in the National Guard and Army Reserves obtaining the rank of Staff Sgt.

                Tom retired from Cresson State School as a Truck Driver after 18 years of service. He previously drove ambulance for Cherry Tree.        

                He was a member of Glenn Campbell American Legion, Past member of Cherry Tree Fire company where he was a Trustee, and a former assistant Boy Scout Leader.

                Friends will be received Tuesday April 16, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Avenue, Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Internment will be made at Citizens Cemetery.
