Verna H Polenik

Polenik, Verna H. 91 of St. Benedict Manor, St. Benedict, formerly of Alverda, died November 17, 2015 at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born May 2, 1924 in Mentcle, daughter of Matthew and Vincka (Chamborek) Polenik. Survived by a brother Pete and wife Margaret of Alverda , also several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, brother's Frank, John, Paul and Andrew Polenik, and sister's Margaret Fiala, Mary Bartch and Josephine Polenik. Retired from Lamson and Sessions Manufacturing in Ohio . Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown. At Verna's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Church of the Resurrection, Heilwood.  Committal at Cameron's Bottom Cemetery.  Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria is assisting the Polenik family.
