Rocco, Virginia "Virgie" L 100 Northern Cambria, died March 20, 2016 at Golden Living Center-Haida, Hastings. Born March 18, 1916 in Barnesboro, daughter of Thomas and Catherine (Wilk) Stavish. Preceded in death by parents, husband Joseph in 1984, brothers John, Leo, Casimir, Ted, Blair and Alex Stavish, sister Cecila Hanyok and son Samuel and daughter-in-law Mary Rocco. Survived by daughters Mary Kay (Ronald) Dolansky and Joanne (Robert) Tomallo both of Northern Cambria, grandchildren James, Thomas, Robert and Richard Rocco, Sherry Delosh, Robert, Jeffrey, Mark Tomallo and Jennifer Pavelko, 22 great-grandchildren. Sister of Helen Burkett of Trenton, N.J. and Catherine Lenyo of Boston, Mass., and daughter-in-law Lorraine Rocco of Conway, Pa. Virgie was formerly employed by Huether's and V & J Restaurant's both of Northern Cambria. Former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and present member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc.,Northern Cambria where alter and rosary service and vigil for the deceased will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friends will also be received from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Thanks to her special angels at Haida Manor.
