William G Abramovich

Abramovich, William G. 78 of Carrolltown, passed away April 20, 2017 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana. Born July 13, 1938 in Greenwich, son of Andrew and Edna (Rice) Abramovich. Preceded in death by parents,  sister Helen Anderson, brother Donald and son-in-law Herman Dansby. Survived by wife Janet Lorraine (Rodkey), children Wanda Dansby of Iowa Park, Texas, Mary Yeckley of Carrolltown, George Yeckley (Judy Conrad) of Northern Cambria and Debbie Hunter of Alverda. 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister Doris Soles of Lewistown and brother-in-law Paul Anderson of Northern Cambria and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bill was a U. S. Army veteran and was employed for 23 years with Barnes and Tucker #24 Mine, Nicktown. A former member of local Moose, American Legion and VFW clubs and a former hunter. Friends will be received from 2 - 4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Rev Chris Massey. Interment McDowell Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by local veterans groups.
